Thinking of going all-LPs/all-’80s this Saturday night @ The Royale.
Come by and a check out the new garden grill.

Well, there’s a title line I never expected to type in.

I couldn’t sound like more of a dope. Why am I allowed near mics?
Incidentally, da Mayor will be out guest on Monday, April 24; Jim Shrewsbury will be appearing a week later. Gettin’ political for spring.
I’m touched. Seriously. By this:

(Well, the thing about 52nd. Not the thing about the Locust Street Scrapper. To heck with that guy!)
Two chances to spin music on KDHX, 88.1 fm, are on the immediate horizon:
Saturday, April 15: Coin-Operated Radio, 6-8 p.m.
Monday, April 17: Rocket 88, 6-8 a.m.
I’m fairly certain that I can stay up long enough on Saturday to not fall asleep during Coin-Op, but I’m rather dubious that any alarm clock will rouse me next Monday. That will surely be an interesting experiment in early-morning awareness.
Better late than never!
Interview with KDHX all-star deejay Doug Morgan in the current of Playback St. Louis.
A review of the newest album by Magnolia Summer in the April issue of Sauce Magazine.
Upcoming Post bar reviews, including: the Big Muddy Pub, the Loft and, er, Saddle Ridge.
In this month’s St. Louis Magazine, a longish feature on STL-related movies.
And, of course, plenty of blog postings at 52nd City, plus a piece on the Mansion Motel in the new print mag.
Think that’s it. Yeah, that’s it.
Three upcoming chances to buy the mag in a “live” setting.

Will add new spots as the zines go out.
Also, new web content will be going live on Wednesday, April 12 @ www.52ndcity.com.
Is this mic on?
Normal operations will resume shortly.
Unless the calendar is lying – and what would be the calendar’s motivation for that? – I am due to spin tomorrow night at the Atomic Cowboy: Wednesday, Feb. 22, 9 p.m.-’til closing time, somewhere in the low a.m. hours.
I believe the apt cliche to be: when it rains, it pours.
Filling in for Nico on two upcoming broadcasts of “Coin-Operated Radio” on KDHX: Saturday, March 11 and Saturday, March 18, from 6-8 p.m. each evening. Fun.
