A shame, folks, a shame. In the meantime, documentation’s to be done.
What’s the shame? That the building’s vacant, or the town’s down and out? Or that most people don’t care either way? Maybe the latter.
Gosh, a combination of all of the above, I suppose. When you traipse through there, you can’t help but wonder how much the building would be worth at, say, Washington and 16th. Even where it is today, you can’t help but think: full-floor lofts with two-dozen windows apiece… the old printshop as a community space with laundry facilities and a gym… that rooftop as a garden… man.
