If folks wouldn’t mind sharing, I’m working on a project about STL films. If anyone would care to jot down some thoughts, that’d be great. They can films inherently about St. Louis, featuring the town prominently or simply shot here.

Wasn’t some of 1978 film “Corvette Summer” filmed here? It was Mark Hamill’s first thing after Star Wars. Flopped like a water balloon, but I seem to remember some good Eads Bridge shots. Or was that “Stingray”, which came out at the same time?
There was also mucho excitement around town when the “Escape from New York” crew blew up stuff real good on the old Chain of Rocks bridge.
No kidding! One of those would hilarous to add to the list. I’ll punch them up on Netflix and see if they’ve made the transition to DVD. Thanks.
This is pretty obvious, but the Great St. Louis Bank Robbery has lots of good shots of the intersection of Kingshighway and Southwest, Tower Grove Park, and what I think might be the parking lot of the old Famous-Barr store at Kingshighway and Chippewa. It’s also not a bad crime caper movie, and features a very young Steve McQueen.
